In October 2023, Rufino Urquidi Castillo’s parents grew concerned that their son was intoxicated and followed him to a Valero Gas Station. At the gas station, an argument broke out between Urquidi Castillo and his father. The situation quickly escalated when Urquidi Castillo knocked his father to the ground and began kicking him. Afterward, he got into his truck and ran over his mother, seriously injuring her.
As if this wasn’t enough, Urquidi Castillo then drove his truck toward a crowd of bystanders, striking an Applebee’s employee with his vehicle. After hitting the employee, he got out of the truck and walked over to his unconscious mother. In a disturbing display, he picked her up and dropped her on the concrete. A group of people attempted to stop him, but he continued fighting. It wasn’t until a construction worker intervened that Urquidi Castillo was subdued until the police arrived at the scene.
The Arrest and Additional Charges
