Albuquerque, NM – Based on an initial investigation from the New Mexico Attorney General’s Office, the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Crime Strategies Unit (CSU) arrested David Chavira, 48 years old, for 18 counts of Distribution of Sexual Exploitation of Children and Possession of Child Pornography.
Chavira pled guilty in 2017 to 2 counts of Distribution of Sexual Exploitation of Children and had just completed probation. He is currently registered as a sex offender in Albuquerque.
The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office and the Attorney General’s Office assisted in the arrest. All 3 agencies are part of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in New Mexico.
