The 32nd Annual South Valley Pride Day is happening on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Westside Community Center, 1250 Isleta Blvd SW, Albuquerque, New Mexico. This lively event celebrates the heart and soul of the South Valley, bringing together families, friends, and neighbors.
What South Valley Pride Day is All About
South Valley Pride Day is more than just a celebration; it’s a tribute to the hardworking people, rich traditions, and vibrant culture of the South Valley community.
Commissioner Frank Baca (District 2) shared, “South Valley Pride Day is not just an event; it’s a reflection of who we are—a strong, resilient community that celebrates its diversity and culture.”
South Valley Pride Day Parade
The day kicks off early at 11 a.m. with the colorful South Valley Pride Day Parade. The parade will start at Blake Road and Isleta Boulevard, move north along Isleta, turn right at Arenal, and end at the Westside Community Center.
Parade highlights include athletic teams, local organizations, fire trucks, classic cars, and even horse-riding groups.
This year’s parade judges are Mayra Aguilar from Telemundo, Julian Paras from KOAT, and Jacqlin Aragon from KOB.
Honoring Outstanding Citizens
At 12:30 p.m., the event will recognize the 2024 South Valley Pride Day Outstanding Citizens. These special individuals are honored for their outstanding contributions and commitment to making the South Valley a better place. Their dedication shows the strength and unity of the community.
Entertainment Line-Up
There will be lots of live entertainment throughout the afternoon!
The music stage will host performances by Nathaniel Krantz and Robbie Jude, plus exciting shows from local dance groups. The Rio Grande High School Marching Band will also bring lots of energy to the stage, celebrating the spirit and pride of the South Valley.
Food, Shopping, and Fun
No celebration is complete without great food and shopping!
A variety of food trucks will offer delicious snacks, meals, and sweet treats. Local artisans will also showcase their handmade crafts and goods, giving you a chance to shop and support local talent.
