Two teenagers, ages 13 and 14, have been charged with Kidnapping, Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping, Aggravated Battery and Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Battery in connection to a beating of a 13-year-old girl.

Investigators say the attack happened at a city park March 12, 2023.  The teens appeared in court late Tuesday afternoon.  The court ruled the teens will be held in custody as the case makes its way through the judicial process.  They are currently at the Juvenile Detention Center, but eventually could be placed under house arrest where they will be required to wear a GPS monitor.

An arrest warrant is outstanding for a 12-year-old for the same incident.  The investigation is still ongoing to identify other individuals who were possibly involved.
